Hobbs Farm & Greenery is a small, family-owned business located in rural
Hope Maine. Owned & operated by Lorraine Smith. This woman has a great love
for flowers. Our principal business is growing and shipping Pelargoniums.

flower garden or window boxes. And adding more plants from time to time.

Pelargonium plants grow real easy. They do not require a lot of care. They
also don't like a lot of water native to Africa. These make a great
houseplant.
SCENTED LEAF
is one of our most popular plants. 150 plus Scented leaf Pelargoniums in our
collection we are sure you will find one or two that will catch your eye or
nose. Scented have many uses, scents, flower colors & leaf shapes. Scented
leaf Pelargoniums that trail for hanging baskets, ground cover, houseplants,
Repels mosquitoes, too! Some Scented leaf Pelargoniums grow tall for a great
standard, some that just make great garden or potted plants. Some of our
stock plants are over 25 years old and just keep growing, so when Winter
comes don't think you have to throw it away, just cut it back, pot it up.
Most Pelargoniums can be grown outdoors in your garden or indoors as
houseplants.

She propagates from most all of her own scented pelargonium plants, in this
way she knows that they are disease free and will thrive when received by
her customers. It takes about eight to ten weeks to get a good rooted
cutting ready to sell.
Last year Hobbs Farm Shipped over 3500 plants, to 50 States and we look forward to
shipping to our customers again this year.
She also picks and packs all the orders and checks all plants her before

STELLAR
Pelargoniums
Stellar Pelargoniums belong to the zonal group and have colorful foliage; these
small plants are loved for star shaped flowers and their notched leaves.
They are cousins to fancy-leaf Pelargoniums.
MINIATURE
Pelargoniums DWARF
Dwarfs usually
don't exceed 8-9 inches tall and Miniature Pelargoniums are even smaller, about
5 inches tall.
These charming
plants make great windowsill flowers, as they do not need much space or grow
to tall.
These
little plants bloom profusely and are ideal for the housebound gardener or
if you do not have a lot of room for flowers.
ROSE BUD FLOWERED
Rose Bud pelargoniums are one of
the first double types. They showed up around 1850.
They make a
great flower for buttonholes and posies. These plants make a good pot plant
for in door us.
CACTUS FLOWERED
Cactus Flowered
pelargoniums better know as Geraniums is a sub group pf zonal pelargoniums
developed by spontaneous mutation from single and double zonal types.
This spontaneous
mutation was first started in the mid-nineteen hundreds.
They were named
cactus because they look a lot like the quelled petals of cactus flowering
dahlias.
They do not have
anything to do with cactus plants.
GOLD LEAF
Fancy-leaf
Pelargoniums called ornamental sometimes are part of the zonal group with
similar colors. They have coloration other than standard green. They are
white, yellow, coral, burgundy, gold, red, purple and bronze in color.
They may can be
spotted, or outlined in contrasting colors.
The flower color
includes red, pink, salmon, and white.
Tricolors have 4
colors, typically a white to golden ivory margin, prominent brownish zone
created by red pigment amongst the green & a green central area. Where the
margin overlaps the zone red to orange appear, providing the fourth color.
ZONALS AND ZONAL UNIQUE
Zonals are resilient plants with green leaves and clusters of flowers in
red, pink, white, purple or orange that has large blooms spring to fall. In
warm winter areas Zonals are Perennials, may grow up to 3 feet tall. In
cooler areas they are annuals. Can be used as houseplants for the winter.
Zonals are one of the most frequently grown container plants in the United
States.
Some of our Zonals are grown from seed; we also use Oglevee Geraniums,
Fischer Geraniums and Bartlett's from rotted cuttings.
